What are Yantras?
Yantras are diagrams that contain a variety of shapes, such as squares, triangles and circles. They use the principles of sacred geometry to call on different Divine energies.
Therefore, the specific design of a diagram varies depending on its purpose.
Some yantras are used to attract material blessings such as money or a relationship; some are used to attract spiritual blessings such as enlightenment, or the blessings of a specific deity; and some are used to provide protection and ward off negativity.
How were the yantra designs created?
Yantra designs were created long ago by Siddhas who saw the diagrams in deep states of meditation.
How do yantras work?
It is believed that the diagram for a deity is a geometric expression of that deity, and acts as a conduit for that deity's energy. Each yantra acts as a machine that continuously vibrates to and attracts the energy associated with its design.
The size of a yantra may vary but is not relevant to the power of the yantra. Rituals and proper care of a yantra can heighten a yantra's energy.
